On November 28, 2022, the first round of negotiations for an international treaty on plastics was held in Uruguay. The purpose of this treaty will be to constitute a legally binding instrument aimed at putting an end to plastic pollution by studying all its life cycles. As a reminder, this is a key priority of the European action plan on the circular economy under the Green Pact for Europe, so much so that the European Commission recently called the French government to order, judging its efforts in this area to be insufficient.
