The Project Life Seabil

When they are not killed by ingestion, plastic threatens their survival and affects their habitats.
Launched in 2021, LIFE SeaBiL is a European project with a duration of three years. In Spain, France, and Portugal, the project aims to protect the seabirds from plastic pollution by:

  • Collecting data on the impact of plastic waste
  • Reducing the negative impact of beach clean-up initiatives on biodiversity
  • Working on a reduction of litter at its source with the local authorities
  • Raising awareness amongst the general public
